Rebecca has dedicated her career to helping adolescents and adults find sustainable approaches to well-being and performance while living full, nourishing lives. She is the owner / operator of Nourishing Bits and Bites, LLC and partners with Birch Hill Behavioral Health to provide weight inclusive, Health at Every Size nutrition services.

Rebecca‘s practice helps adolescents and adults develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to eat and move in a way that aligns with their values and desired quality of life. Curiosity and compassion are the cornerstones of her work with clients, to dissolve the shame discover progress. Her practice is based in the understanding that shifting behaviors isn’t about “knowledge” or “willpower.” Instead, it’s about understanding and healing the impact of past / present relationships and the subsequent thoughts and beliefs that influence behaviors around food and body.

Rebecca completed her undergraduate degree in Dietetics through the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In an effort to better understand and influence health behaviors on a mass scale, she completed a Master of Arts in Health Communication from Emerson College and Tufts University School of Medicine. She spent the early years of her career supporting autism research, guideline development, and quality improvement across North America through Massachusetts General Hospital. For the last decade, she worked as an outpatient dietitian then employee wellness manager at the Cambridge Health Alliance, helping people find sustainable strategies to support wellbeing and resilience.

She has additional training in Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, Adaptive Exercise, Compulsive Exercise, Clinical Anxiety Treatment, Trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Resilience (MBCT-R), Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

She is a published researcher in the Journal of Pediatrics and the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, has written two cookbooks, and regularly contributes writing to media outlets. 

Rebecca’s passion for integrating movement and nutrition comes from her background as an endurance and multisport athlete where she regularly competes in marathons, ultramarathons, and triathlon events up to the full iron distance.
