What’s in a name?
The Birch tree is one of the first trees to regrow in places of great tragedy. It is known to persevere and thrive in harsh conditions and is early to regrow leaves after the depths of winter. The Birch tree also embodies a duality of strength and softness. While hardy and deeply rooted, Birch trees possess flexibility, evident in their sway and their pliable bark. Given these qualities, the Birch has become a symbol of resiliency, regrowth, and new beginnings.
At Birch Hill Behavioral Health (BHBH), we think of these same qualities as inherent for human beings who are capable of incredible resiliency, healing, and dynamic change. Like the Birch tree, individuals can simultaneously be strong and deeply grounded, as well as dynamic and flexible.
At BHBH we believe in the combined healing potential of tailored evidence-based treatments and the therapeutic relationship which sets the stage for growth, connection, and ultimately, meaningful change.
