Nicki works with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing a wide range of symptoms and mental health diagnoses. Through individual, group, and couples counseling, Nicki utilizes an eclectic variety of evidence-based treatments to personalize each therapeutic experience to the needs of the individual while maintaining a strengths-based and client-centered approach. Nicki primarily draws on approaches from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to help clients create a life worth living. With a social justice focused and affirming lens, Nicki empowers and motivates her clients to achieve their goals through humor and creativity.
Nicki earned her master’s degree in social work from Boston College’s Graduate School of Social Work in 2021 with a specialization in Children, Youth, and Families. Prior to joining Birch Hill Behavioral Health, Nicki worked as a psychotherapist at Inspired, a practice specializing in DBT. In this role, Nicki helped individuals, groups, couples, and families work toward their goals with her uniquely tailored approach. Nicki has also led a variety of groups focusing on creative interventions for anxiety, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and processing COVID lockdown. Nicki’s work with adolescents and young adults has been shaped by her work in the Boston Public School system and Brandeis University’s Counseling Center. Nicki has completed multiple trainings in DBT through Behavioral Tech and Psychotherapy Academy.
